March 9, 2018
Greetings from Room 116!
I hope that everyone survived the past two nor’easters without too much inconvenience. March has certainly come in like a lion!
It was great to meet with everyone this week to celebrate student progress. We have such an amazing class and a truly special set of families. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Following is a quick recap of our wonderful week:
ELA: We practiced more r-controlled vowels in Spelling and reviewed possessive pronouns. We also continued reading our historical fiction books, and participated in a District Writing Assessment.
Math: We examined equivalent fractions and compared fractions with different numerators and denominators.
Science/SS: We learned about the Pilgrims’ journey to the New World from the perspective of the children.
Other: We created more computer codes.
Best wishes to all for a quiet weekend!
Most Sincerely,
Ms. Feeney
