Hurry Up, Spring!

March 16, 2018

Greetings from Room 116!

I hope that everyone survived the blizzard and was able to stay safe and warm! It seems hard to believe right now, but spring is really just around the corner – next week in fact!

Despite the crazy weather and resulting snow days, we were able to get several things accomplished this short but sweet week:

ELA: We practiced more r-controlled vowels and homophones in Spellings. We also read our historical fiction books, looking at character development over time.

Math: We finished our fraction unit and took our End-of-Module assessment.

Science/SS: We learned about the curious dining habits of early colonists. We also explored how rainbows are formed and how the water cycle works.

Other: We continued to build our test-taking skills on Study Island in preparation for the MCAS which will take place on April 4th and 5th.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Most Sincerely,

Ms. Feeney
