Greetings from Room 116!

Sadly, here is our last newsletter. This year has flown by, and I am not at all ready to say goodbye. Nonetheless, everyone is definitely ready for fourth grade. We have had an amazing year together and have maximized every single learning moment!

Here is how we spent our last full week together:

ELA: We finished our Roald Dahl fantasy books and practiced our play. We also studied adverbs.

Math: We reviewed facts and worked on multi-step, multi-operational problems.

Science/SS: We learned about the current demographics, geography, and economy of our amazing state. We also explored forces and motion.

Other: We enjoyed a great field trip to Chatham Light and a beautiful Grade 3 Celebrations ceremony followed by a lovely Family Picnic. Thank you to all who were able to attend these events. What a fabulous way to close out the year!

In closing, it has been both a pleasure and a privilege to teach this class. Thank you so much for sharing your special students with me. I will miss them tremendously. Please keep me posted on their future progress.

Best wishes for a spectacular summer with family and friends!

Most sincerely,

Ms. Feeney

Greetings from Room 116!

So much to do and so little time left!! Following are some of the main events from our incredibly busy week:

ELA: We are enjoying our funny fantasy stories, while observing Roald Dahl’s unique writing style. We also reviwed irregular plurals in Spelling and began writing our class play.

Math: Although our formal math instruction is over, we continue to practice math facts and solve multi-step word problems.

Science/SS: We learned more about the maritime era. We researched different colonial trades and created Google slides to present our learning.

Other: We enjoyed field trips to Wixon and the Jericho House.

Please note that we will hold the Grade 3 Celebration on Friday, 6/23, followed by the EHBi Family Picnic. Our play performance will occur on the last day of school, 6/27 (time TBD).

Best wishes to all for a beautiful weekend!

Sincerely,

Ms. Feeney

P.S. Homework consists of nightly reading and math fact practice.
