Hopes and Dreams for the Year Ahead

How do you see the water cycle?

WHEN IT RAINS

By L. B.

When it rains,

the

raindrops

fall

into

a gentle rhythm of drip, drop, and plip plop

When it rains,

the

raindrops

fall

into

restless rivers, lovely lakes and slithering streams

When it rains,

the

raindrops

accumulate

into

playful puddles, replenishing reservoirs, and ancient aquifers

Rain
By J. D.

  Tap

tap

   tapping

on my roof

liquid

chrome

running

down

my

windows

SPLASH!

It hits the ground,

drenching the earth below.

What is peace?

Peace is a Wonderland

By A.N.

Peace is a wonderland.

It’s the clouds in the sky,

The food and water we eat and drink,

The stuffed animal you sleep with at night.

It is a friend and a song.

Peace is the time on the clock that goes around.

It’s the love that goes from person to person.

It’s the calm of everyone together,

A kindness that we pass around.

Peace is a present that lands in your hands.

It’s the air in your face.

It’s a tree branch that’s holding you up

And the lollypop that you lick.

It’s the friends who we love.

Keep peace in your heart.

Peace

By L. G.

Peace is love and happiness

Peace is all around you

The dove spreads peace to everyone

Peace lives in your heart

You can`t see it but you can feel it

Like a gentle cloud floating in the sky

Or a sweet, soft song and a slow, swirling dance

It flows around the world.

PEACE

By A.K.

Peace to me is simple and calm

A dream that inspires you to do great things

Peace is a fairy tale that never ends

And a dancing star up in the sky

A whole new world of joy

A flag that hangs up high

A tree that grows taller and taller every day

The sun that follows you wherever you go

A friendly hand that reaches out to you

A single dove flying high in the sky

A free spirited person with an open heart

A ribbon of love that wraps you in happiness

Peace is the joy of first snow

And the smell of apple crisp

The thought of your favorite holiday

Your friends and family

Future and the past

Peace is a friend who will always be there for you

Peace

By S. A.

Peace is love,

The quietest thing on earth,

Something you can spread

with your family and friends.

Peace resides in everyone,

Peace jumps with joy.

It is a dream come true,

A seed grown by happiness,

Something you can cherish for a life time.

Peace is alive.
