Moody March!

March 10, 2017

Greetings from Room 116!

It was great to have the chance to meet with everyone this week to complete our parent teacher conferences. We have such an amazing class and a truly special set of families. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Following is a quick recap of our wonderful week:

ELA: We finalized our realistic fiction game boards and continued our historical fiction study. We focused on the “aw” sound in Spelling and on “articles” in Grammar. We also read several more mentor memoirs in preparations writing our own.

Math: We compared fractions and took our mid-module assessment.

Science/SS: We learned more about the Pilgrims’ journey to the New World and their first year at Plimoth Plantation.

* Check out our Cinema Corner page for live video of last week’s owl pellet dissection! *
.
Other: We participated in a school wide Drop Everything and Read event. Unfortunately, Friday was yet another snow day so we were not able to begin our new Library unit on biographies.  We will have to wait until next week for that!

Best wishes to all for a relaxing weekend. Remember to spring forward!

Sincerely,

Ms. Feeney
