Congratulations!

May 15, 2015
Greetings from Room 116!
Congratulations to all for completing the End-of-Year PARCC assessments. Everyone worked hard and put forth great effort!! When we weren’t testing, we worked on the following:
Math: We reviewed all concepts, including multiplication, multi-digit addition/subtraction, fractions, data, measurement, and geometry.
ELA: We continued to analyze character development and author’s craft with our second set of historical fiction books.
Science/SS: We added to our knowledge of the Colonial Era and wrote journal entries to document this.
Other: We focused on figurative language during Enrichment and resisting the impulse to lie during Second Step. We also watched the movie “Babe” as a reward for our hard work this week.
Please note that there may be a few additional date changes due to scheduling conflicts regarding upcoming events. I will keep you posted as soon as more information becomes available. Permissions slips will be going home soon for all field trips once the dates are finalized. In the meantime, if you are interested in chaperoning any of these, please check with the office to make sure you have a current CORI on file.

Have a well-deserved, restful weekend!!
Sincerely,
Ms. Feeney
